Geneva For Excel
Since Geneva came to the market back in the 1990s, there has always been this need for better reporting. Throughout the years, Advent Geneva reporting tools improved to the point of what it is today. Reporting has become a lot easier. Users can now run reports from the Geneva Desktop; they can also view their data through the Data Browser.
But throughout all my years working with clients, we couldn’t help to notice that the main reason users wanted to export Geneva data, was to import it and work with it within Excel.
I believe that Advent thought about that a while ago, but as new tools were being developed, there was this war on the Excel spreadsheet. Many articles have been written about how spreadsheets are bad and how different solutions were available to address this issue.
But the truth of the matter is that Excel is here to stay. Users are comfortable with it and are a lot more productive with it than with any other tools.
So instead of fighting the wave, Juju Consulting decided to embrace it and that’s the reason we created Geneva for Excel.
